NWEC conducted an international comparative research on home education in order to clarify characteristics and to identify issues of home education in contemporary Japan through studies of such factors as changes in the home and the family, the actual conditions of home education, and parents' awareness in Japan and other countries (Korea, Thailand, USA, France, Sweden).
