NWEC Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome

Believing volunteer activities to be closely linked to lifelong learning, development of women's abilities and women's participation in society, NWEC has welcomed volunteers, either as individuals or groups, since August 1978. In April 2004, NWEC began holding orientation seminars three times ayear for the benefit of individuals interested in joining volunteer activities.

Cooperation between Volunteers and NWEC

Valuing our volunteers as important partners, NWEC provides various opportunities designed to encourage their volunteer activities.

  1. Information and exchange:Quarterly liaison meetings are organized and a volunteer room has been established within the premises to encourage smooth communication between volunteers and the Center, and among volunteers.
  2. Research activities:Volunteer activity study meetings are organized to give both volunteers and benefiting parties the opportunity to learn about volunteering together.
  3. Backing independent initiatives:NWEC encourages volunteers to take the initiative, and offers full support for their activities and proposals.
  4. Publicizing activities:NWEC uses the Volunteer Corner column in NWEC News and notices displayed in the Main Building to publicize information on volunteer activities.
